I do not live in India, and so much of this is foreign to me--the terms at least. That being said, you're doing an important service by putting this information out there.

Where I live, almost no one knows much about local elections. We pay attention to things on a national level, but far less on the state or local levels, and that's a problem.

As you've so clearly pointed out, these elections are so important. Not taking part in them or not educating yourself on them really reduces the impact you can have on the parts of government that will most immediately effect your life.
