I had a miscarriage earlier this year, which I suppose I'm still dealing with.

I had started bleeding and called the maternity ward, not sure what I should do. They were very callous and unhelpful.

One of the few positives of the experience was that I went to a midwifery clinic for the post-miscarriage appointment, just to make sure, and the midwife was so kind to both me and my partner. She even gave me a hug. It made a huge difference to have a professional treat me as a human in the midst of trauma. I'm very sorry that you weren't given that human consideration that you deserved.
