It is, Bill, and this is so true.

I grew up with a mom who was a perfectionist, and she drove away every friend she ever had--most of her family too--by expecting them to be perfect.

In my adulthood, realizing that people would still like, love, and respect me despite being imperfect was a life-changing experience. We can love people for the imperfect but still wonderful people that they are.
