I have some version of those every time I hit publish, but I think they’re diminishing somewhat.
Your experience in the workplace with the phone ringing, emails, anxiety — when I started experiencing that in my job was the first time I realized anxiety was something I had to do something about. It also helped me realize eventually that I needed to move past that job and get serious about writing, the thing that had been my passion since I was a kid if I was being honest with myself.
I love how you emphasized the need to write and publish despite the discomfort because that’s the only way to continue to grow as a writer. When I have those moments of uncertainty, that’s what I remind myself of.
