I’ve seen a number of therapists over the years, and some have worked out better than others. The connection that you have with a great therapist — the feeling that they not just support you, they understand you — is critical. But that connection isn’t necessarily there with every therapist you get in to see; you don’t always end up on the same wavelength.
That’s one of the reasons I love and count on writing as therapy. If for some reason you’re not able to see that right-for-you therapist, those pages are there to take in everything you have to say. Your writing won’t misunderstand you.
